Racing Pigeons for sale

I am currently getting an inventory of what I have to sell. Please contact me to see what I have. I have late hatches and experienced race birds to sell. Some straight Macaloney, some are out of imports, some are crossed. All will carry the LDHA/DRD4/CRY1 racing genes in some combination. Please see my Pairings Page to see how I plan to have birds mated in 2022. I plan to have late hatch inbred Gaby’s, Macaloney’s and Picasso birds for sale. If you are interested in those please contact me to get on a list.

Shipping is $50 per shipment. I have had a lot of people show interest in the recessive opal pigeons so I won’t hold them for long. A check or payment in hand is the only way these will be marked as sold. If you say you are sending money and then don’t, I will not hold them for you indefinitely.

2018 Old Bird results

We just wrapped up a solid old bird season and I’m happy to see the Shadow blood continuing to win for me.

Kastle 1673 – 1st @ 270

KJR 625 – 1st @ 200

Kastle 1673 – 1st @ 200

Kastle 1691 – 2nd @ 400 combine (this was the first 400 mile race of the newly formed Kentucky Combine)

Kastle 1664 – 2nd @ 270

Kastle 1690 – 2nd @ 200

Kastle 1673, who won two races, is a daughter from First Drop Don (Son of the Wicked Pair) when mated to Lucy.

Kastle 1664 is on of my recessive opals and is a grand-daughter of Einstein. She has been great at the middle distance.

Kastle 1690 and 1691 are nest mates with multiple diplomas over three seasons between them. They are children of Sylvan Perfection X Rita.

Recessive Opal Racing Pigeon Collection

I’m so very fortunate that this recessive color has popped up in my racing homers. They are all down from my stock of Eisenhower, Golden Gaby and Black National from Mark Evans. As best I can tell, the common ancestor in all of these go back to a bird of Gaby Vandenabeele’s named De Bijter. Additionally, if you study pigeon color genetics, you will see a variant of recessive opal known as cherry among my pigeons.

Apple Cup Series success

Right Turn Clyde
Right Turn Clyde
Amazeballs
Amazeballs

I received my two birds from Rick Mee’s Apple Cup Yearling Classic last week. I have to give major props to him for a great race series and conditioning of the birds. My birds came back with such great muscle and silky feathers. I entered three birds last year in his race. It was only the second OLR I’ve ever entered. One bird was lost off the loft in the early months, but two of them raced and completed the entire series against the top lofts in the USA. Some flyers had entered 18-20 birds in this race!

These were some tough conditions with a mix of cross winds, head winds and heat. Right Turn Clyde finished in the money (27th Average Speed) but Amazeballs came in too late to finish high enough for money. Still happy she toughed it out and made it home.

Right Turn Clyde is out of my Koopman pair (my only pair like this) and is line bred to Kenny’s Girl (Protege Loft) and Witoger 720 (also Protege Loft). Amazeballs is actually a niece to Right Turn Clyde and is a cross with my Koopman’s and Evans Gaby’s via the Wicked Pair.

Thanks for the fun and entertainment, Rick, and I’ll be sure to enter again!
